Cachaca Experience
ka-SHA-sa regularly organizes tastings and master-classes for hospitality workers and consumers in general.
the session consists of an introduction to Cachaca and its history, facts and use, followed by tasting of 6 different brands, including one or two very exclusive additions. the session is finished with a cocktail workshop where the participants can mix their own cocktails.
for more info on how to book a Cachaca experience to your staff, send an e-mail to raf.agapito@gmail.com, or call Rafael on +353(0) 85131 6839

Diva
Cachaca Diva was chosen for our first tasting session for being a very unusual, innovative concept.
Diva is a Pure Pot Still hand-crafted Cachaca, from Minas-Gerais estate.
Unaged by choice, Diva rests for approx. 6 months in stainless-steel vats, and then is bottled in a state-of-the-art facility, inside the distillery.
Tasting notes:
Colour/viscosity: crystal clear, shiny, with good oleosity, medium body
Aroma: fresh and delicate, with notes of fresh herbs, ripe citrus fruits
Palate: medium-sweet, citrus, moderate spiciness
finish: clean, warm and subtle, leading to sweet, ripe bananas
good for: spicy food, sea food, great for mixing cocktails

Tasting Notes
There's over 5.000 registered Cachaca brands in Brasil, distilling around 1,5billion litres every year.
if we taste one different brand every single day it would take more than 12 years to taste it all, and that if no new brands come around...
well we're not in a hurry are we?
A good Pinga should be apreciated, sipped slowly, on its own, or with a meal, desert, or even accompanied of a subtle Brasilian Cigar.

Mixology
Cachaca is the 3rd most consumed spirit in the world, most of it is drank neat or in "caipirinhas" or "batidas".
trying to change that image and show the versatility of the drink, ka-SHA-sa is now seeking creative mixologists with original cocktail recipes, like the ones we've been posting here.
you could send us your video on raf.agapito@gmail.com or write down your recipe and the address of the bar you work, and we'll organize a visit to record you in the act!
